Snowmobile, Motorcycle, Hiking, Biking & ORV Activities

The Township has 15 to 20 miles of ORV and Snowmobile trails crossing through the area including parts of routes 76, 79, and 679. Included is the Blue Bear Trail which has a trail head located on Starvation Lake Rd. About 16 miles of dedicated motorcycle trails go over the hills and through the woods.

Approximately 9 miles of the North Country Hiking Trail between New York and North Dakota winds its way through Blue Lake Township. The paved road around Big Twin Lake sees many hiking and biking enthusiasts. Also the many 2-track and back country roads will often find travelers looking for wild mushrooms, blue berries, black berries, and raspberries. Many types of birds are also plentiful in the area.
